Smart chemistry reimagined and noticeably more powerful: improved transmission performance thanks to polyglycols with a homogeneous molecular structure.
In many gearboxes, major processes take place behind the scenes day in and day out. Gears mesh, bearings support loads, and movements must be precise, reliable, and as loss-free as possible. That is exactly where the true efficiency of a system is determined, as well as how much energy its operation consumes. And that is exactly where the story of the Berusynth EPX series begins.
With these high-performance gear oils, we at BECHEM are taking the next step in the evolution of polyglycol lubricants. These fully synthetic oils are based on the latest generation of base oils, which feature a particularly high viscosity index and a very homogeneous molecular structure. Combined with a newly developed additive system, this results in a lubricant that sets new standards in terms of performance and significantly outperforms the performance of conventional polyglycol-based gear oils on the market.
This quickly becomes apparent in the production process. Berusynth EPX oils remain exceptionally stable against aging and oxidation. This significantly extends oil change intervals, reduces maintenance costs, and conserves resources. At the same time, friction conditions at the contact points are specifically improved. This noticeably reduces energy losses in gearboxes and bearings and helps lower the energy consumption of equipment. Efficiency is thus not just calculated—it is actually achieved.
Excellent wear protection: According to DIN 51517-3, the permissible limit for rolling element wear in the FAG FE 8 test is 30 mg for CLP gear oils. The products in the Berusynth EPX series fall well below this value and deliver exceptionally low wear of ≤ 5 mg.

The oils’ outstanding load-carrying capacity is evident even under extreme test conditions. Even under very high loads, the lubricating film remains stable and friction coefficients stay low, whereas comparable products reach their limits much sooner. The oils in the Berusynth EPX series also deliver exceptional performance in terms of wear protection. This protects components, extends the service life of gearboxes and bearings, and ensures reliable long-term operation.
In addition, these oils deliver consistent performance across a wide temperature range. They remain stable and produce minimal residue even at very high temperatures, and perform just as reliably at low temperatures. Their high shear stability, good compatibility with many sealing materials, and low foaming properties support smooth, trouble-free plant operation. The fact that this performance is also proven in practical use is demonstrated by the approval granted by the gear manufacturer Flender for use in industrial gearboxes. For operators, this means added confidence when selecting a lubricant that combines efficiency, reliability, and sustainability.
The Berusynth EPX series is therefore more than just another gear oil. It represents a step toward gearboxes that guarantee lower power losses, achieve a longer service life, and thereby conserve resources. Or, to put it another way: toward technology that simply runs better.
