The mobility of the future is not only electric, digital, and networked, it is above all sustainable. While carmakers are working on climate-neutral processes and products along the entire value chain, key components that were previously overlooked are now gaining attention: lubricants. They ensure smooth processes and a long service life in a wide range of technical applications—for example, in mechatronic drives, seating systems, or locking mechanisms. Yet most of these specialty lubricants currently contain per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), particularly PTFEs, which, although efficient, are poorly degradable and are increasingly being called into critical question.
Perceptions are changing in light of increasingly strict environmental regulations and growing social responsibility. The industry is on the search for alternatives that unite environmental compatibility with technical performance. This is exactly where we step in with our in-house developed BECHEM Nexus Technology. This technology serves as the basis for an innovative lubrication solution that completely eliminates PTFEs but can still withstand extreme stresses. This creates the opportunity for car manufacturers and suppliers to proactively address regulatory requirements. At the same time, they support their customers’ sustainability goals without them having to compromise on quality and functionality.
Berulub FR 43-2
PTFE-free high-performance lubricating grease with BECHEM Nexus Technology
The high-performance lubricating grease Berulub FR 43‑2 was purposefully developed to create sustainable alternatives suitable for even the most demanding applications. The Berulub FR 43‑2 is a PTFE-free solution for highly stressed friction points in automotive technology. Whether in door locking systems, clutch modules, or mechatronic assemblies: This top-performing synthetic specialty grease excels wherever silent operation, long-lasting lubricity, and high material compatibility are important. Its oxidation-stable base oil components and selected additives guarantee a long service life and reliable functioning over a wide temperature range. Berulub FR 43‑2 sets itself apart because it combines technological performance with a consistent environmentally minded approach. It does not contain any components with fluorine, but offers outstanding adhesion, good corrosion protection, and a low of friction value. As such, it is well suited for modern applications where environmental compatibility plays a key role in addition to functionality. This represents an important step forward for the automotive industry to manufacture both sustainably and resource-efficiently.

Berulub FH 57-2
Low-noise and PFAS-free solution for modern automotive technology
IThe automotive industry is increasingly focusing its attention on efficiency, comfort, and environmental compatibility. Our innovative solution that meets these requirements is the PFAS-free high-performance lubricating grease Berulub FH 57‑2. The fully synthetic lubricating grease is custom-developed for the long-term lubrication of components made of metal and polymer materials and is an optimal choice for applications such as plain bearings, shift gates, grid tracks as well as spur gears and small gearboxes. With its superb material compatibility and ability to prevent stick-slip effects, Berulub FH 57‑2 helps mechanical components achieve seamless operation with low sound emission. In addition, a built-in UV indicator makes automated quality control during the production process possible. We are setting a strong precedent for sustainable lubricant technology in the automotive industry thanks to the product’s carbon footprint which has been cut by up to 20% compared to conventional products.
